Globeducate, one of the world’s leading international school groups, is exploring how AI can make a real difference to their teachers and students.
Globeducate has partnered with Teachmate to pilot the use of AI across 12 of its schools, spanning several European countries and Morocco. The pilot will see more than 900 teachers and school leaders using Teachmate’s suite of 150+ AI-powered tools to support workload reduction, planning and resource creation, with a clear focus on wellbeing and impact in the classroom.
A Thoughtful Approach to AI Integration
For Globeducate, this initiative represents more than just adopting a new technology. It’s part of a deliberate, measured strategy to help teachers work smarter, not harder.

At Teachmate, we’ve been working closely with Richard Human, Head of AI at Globeducate, who leads the group’s work on harnessing artificial intelligence to enhance teaching and learning across its global network. With a career spanning roles in the UK, the Netherlands, Kenya and Libya, Richard brings a wealth of experience in curriculum design, professional development and emerging technologies. Holding an MBA in Educational Leadership from UCL Institute of Education, he’s recognised for his thoughtful approach to AI integration, combining innovation with a deep commitment to ethics, inclusion and teacher wellbeing.
Reflecting on why Globeducate chose Teachmate as its AI partner, Richard said:
“We’ve learnt that technology alone doesn’t transform education, thoughtful implementation does. Teachmate AI is different. Rather than adding another plate for teachers to spin, it’s designed to help existing plates spin themselves.”
Rather than rolling out the platform group-wide, Globeducate is initially focusing on 12 schools across diverse contexts to gather feedback, learn from teachers and measure real impact before wider implementation. This approach aligns with their ‘doing less, better’ philosophy, ensuring that innovation is introduced with care, evidence and meaningful consultation.
Measuring What Matters
Teacher wellbeing sits at the centre of this pilot. As part of the project, Globeducate is running a dedicated wellbeing ‘dip survey’ to understand how the introduction of AI affects staff workload, stress and overall satisfaction over time.
“This isn’t just about whether the technology works, it’s about whether it genuinely improves teachers’ working lives,” Richard continues. “If our AI support becomes another source of stress, we’ve failed. The wellbeing data will help us understand the real human impact of these changes.”
While Globeducate’s survey is underway, Teachmate’s own wellbeing research offers an encouraging benchmark, with 94% of teachers reporting improved wellbeing and 83% noting a better work-life balance since using the platform.
Early Reactions from Schools
Across the 12 pilot schools, early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
At the International Preparatory School in Cascais, Portugal, staff have already started exploring the platform.
“As Head of School I realise how busy teachers are, and I’m hoping Teachmate will save them time with planning and allow them to create exciting resources to challenge pupils. The training we received was very professional and clearly explained. This was important, as the power of AI is still a relatively new experience for us at IPS.” – Chris Starling, Executive Director at IPS Cascais.
Teachers at IPS are particularly excited about tools that help with lesson planning and adaptation, enabling them to personalise resources more effectively for different learners.
At O Castro British International School in Spain, early years teacher Nadine shared how Teachmate has quickly become part of her daily routine:
“I have to admit I was a little nervous when I was told we have this AI tool to use. My husband is an engineer specialising in AI, so he encouraged me to give it a try – and I’m really glad I did. Teachmate is definitely one of the best available because it’s designed specifically for teachers. I’ve been using it a lot to create individualised worksheets and flashcards for EYFS. It saves so much time and is so easy to use.”
At Pascal Secondary School in Larnaka, Cyprus, teachers are finding creative ways to integrate Teachmate into their classrooms.
“Our new AI tool Teachmate has us thrilled! Today it helped us plan and create resources that integrate our hydroponic gardens with the different stages of a plant’s life. We can’t wait to see the innovative ways it enhances our learning experiences.”

Meanwhile, at Canadian School Florence, Gessica has been impressed by how accurately the platform aligns with local curricula.
“I’m finding Teachmate extremely useful, as it’s directly aligned with the Ontario curriculum, which makes me more comfortable using it for preparing, checking and reviewing resources and learning tools. The variety of tools available is also excellent and incredibly comprehensive.”
A Shared Vision for the Future
This pilot reflects the shared vision between Globeducate and Teachmate to use AI responsibly and purposefully, in ways that support teachers.
Both organisations recognise that AI should be a partner in education, one that helps teachers reclaim time, reduce administrative pressures and support every student.
As the pilot continues, both teams will share findings, insights and success stories to help shape how AI can be implemented across international education, with teacher and student wellbeing and development, not technology, leading the way.
