As the first year of the Teachmate AI Ambassador Programme comes to a close, we thought we’d take a moment to reflect on what has been an amazing year!

Over the past year, our Ambassadors have explored how Teachmate can enhance everything from lesson planning to image generation tools, SEND/adaptation and more! We’ve had insightful discussions, hands-on guests workshops, and ample opportunities for our ambassadors to increase their knowledge of AI.
The goal was always to equip educators not just with tools, but with understanding – and to empower them to lead positive AI conversations in their schools 🤖✨
We’re proud of what’s been achieved so far and we can’t wait to welcome the class of 2025-26 (more on that later đź‘€) As Teachmate AI Ambassador Fiona Baxter shared:
“Thank you, this year has given me a great foundational understanding of AI in education, and a framework to shape and share learning with my students.” 📚
It’s not just about what teachers have learned – it’s also about how they’ve passed that learning on. Whether it’s exploring ways to make curriculum planning more efficient or supporting personalised learning at scale. Alex Potterton-Crawford, another Teachmate AI Ambassador told us…
“It’s been great to take part in these sessions and to work with you over the past few months. Even though I am changing roles next year (I’m returning to primary school teaching), I will almost certainly get my own Teachmate licence and encourage my new school to embrace it too because I feel there is a lot of value in your tools.” 🌟🏫
The enthusiasm we’ve seen from educators like Alex shows just how impactful the programme has been. And perhaps the most rewarding part? Seeing how many of our 2024-25 class want to re-apply! As Steve Butler put it…
“It’s been fantastic, it really has! I’m very excited for next year.” 🚀
